ADT Security will be out in force on Saturday at the Pikitup Clean Up Day initiative. Armed Response Vehicles and Officers will be stationed at select Pikitup sites throughout the day. Officers will be on full alert and in 24-hour contact with the control room, ensuring all volunteers are safe as they clean up the city. "This ADT service will take the form of Armed Reaction Officers in vehicles who will provide a presence at these sites and are able to bring in extra resources as required in the event of an emergency," said Roy Rawlins, Managing Director, ADT Johannesburg. The ADT Armed Reaction Officers will be onsite as a pro-active, preventative measure and should an emergency situation develop at any of the PIKITUP points, the ADT Armed Reaction Officers will report the situation to the control room. The control room will send back-up resources and contact the SAPS if required. ADT will also be in contact with the PIKITUP JOC in order to provide support and information updates as required. "We are proud to be involved in this worthwhile effort to clean up the city. We believe a cleaner Johannesburg is a safer Johannesburg and will play our role in protecting citizens as they get involved," Rawlins added. Please note that the ADT EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBER is 086 1212 401. About ADT
