| Guiding Principles - Waste Hierachy | Reduces the need for landfilling and incineration.
Reduces energy and prevents pollution. Conserves natural resources such as timber,(1 ton of paper = 17 trees) water, and minerals |
Recycling, which includes composting, diverts tons of material away from landfills and incinerators.

Because the best approach to managing solid waste is to avoid creating it in the first place. This means reducing the amount of trash you discard and reusing containers and products instead of throwing them away. By introducing new technology such as a crushing plant we will reduce illegal dumping at the same time preserving air space on the Landfills. Composting Plants allow green waste to be diverted from the landfills and puts back organic material into the soil again preserving airspace. |
