PLEASE NOTE: Service providers will need to render a fully comprehensive, all encompassing service for the above bids, which in part includes the following (but not limited to): sweeping of streets, clearing of illegal dumps, litter picking, and collection & disposal of refuse collected.
In view thereof prospective bidders will need to have & manage their own personnel, provide protective clothing, fleet and equipment in order to render the service as specified in the bid documents (see bid documents for further details).
Bid documents are obtainable on the date as reflected above until date of closure, on payment of a non — refundable CREDIT/ DEBIT CARD ONLY deposit where applicable, for the amount reflected above, per Bid document, to the General Manager: Expenditure, Pikitup Head Office, Ground Floor, corner Bertha and Juta Streets, Braamfontein. (Office Hrs 08h00 to 16h30).
Payment of bid document to be made to Pikitup (Pty) Ltd, at ABSA Bank, Account No. 4054394702, Ref No.8818161808490. The official bank receipt(s) franked with official Bank stamp thereon to be presented with collection of the tender.
A Compulsory Information Meeting will be held on the 23rd of October 2008 at 9am at Pikitup’s Head Office, Auditorium Ground Floor, corner Bertha and Juta Street, Braamfontein. There will be a tour to some of the Informal Settlements immediately after the meeting.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IN TERMS OF PIKITUP’S PROCUREMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, PREFERENCE
WILL BE GIVEN TO COMPANIES HAVING MEANINGFUL BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
OWNERSHIP/PARTNERSHIPS.
Sealed appropriately marked bid documents should be deposited in the Pikitup Tender box, situated at the Pikitup Head Office, Ground Floor, corner Bertha and Juta Street, Braamfontein, by no later than the times and dates reflected above for each bid.
Applications must include the following information as requested in the bid documents i.e. • Company profile • Shareholding structure, including BEE credentials • Experience and references • All requirements as stipulated in the detailed bid document and any other information relevant to this bid process. Pikitup reserves the right to either award tender to one or more bidders or not to award.
