Waste, other than radioactive waste, which is legally defined as Hazardous in the state in which it is generated, transported, or disposed of. The definition isbased on the chemical reactivity or toxic, explosive, corrosive or other characteristics which cause, or are likely to cause,danger to health or to the environment, whether alone or when in contact with other waste. Waste that may, by circumstances of use, quantity, concentration or inherent physical, chemical or infectious characteristics, cause ill-health or increase mortality in humans, fauna and flora, or adversely affect the environment when improperly treated, stored, transported or disposed of. |
