Link to Proposal Document

PIKITUP is in the process of implementing it’s Supply Chain Policy and Procedure which is in line with the National Treasury regulations.

As part of the implementation process, Pikitup requires a Supplier Data Base Accreditation System (SDBAS) thereby allowing the Supply Chain Management (SCM) unit to fulfill one of its requirements and functions.

The purpose of this proposal is to source and select an applicable SDBAS system that fulfills Pikitup’s requirements. The successful company will be responsible to supply, install, train and implement the Supplier Data Base Accreditation System.

The SDBAS should be able to provide and perform the following functions (but is not limited to):

· Evaluation of Suppliers (both existing and new);

· Accreditation of Suppliers (in terms of an Accreditation scorecard);

· Have reporting functionality (i.e analysis on BEE spend, total spend etc) ;

· Quote functionality

· Categorize Pikitup’s goods/services provided and to match the applicable prospective accredited suppliers

· Automatic rotational use of accredited suppliers;

· Various flagging capabilities;

· The SDBAS offered must be user friendly

· The preferred systems supplier will have to ensure that ongoing maintenance capabilities are provided;

· The SDBAS offered should be modular and be able to integrate into existing computer systems

(e.g Pikitup is currently on a Venus based system)

Tenderers should ideally have experience in the supply and implementation of Supplier Data Base Accreditation Systems in Supply Chain Management especially within the South African public service, preferably in the Local Government Sector.
