REFUSE COLLECTION DURING APRIL AND MAY PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Pikitup would like to advise residents and businesses of its refuse collection schedule over the upcoming public holidays.

The most noticeable change will be over the Easter weekend, as there will be no waste service delivery taking place on Friday 14 and Monday the 17th of April, 2006. Residents whose refuse is removed on these days must please keep their refuse back inside until their next scheduled collection day.

The only exception will be the suburbs serviced by the Norwood depot and the inner city area serviced by the Selby depot, where services will continue uninterrupted.

According to the company’s Communications Manager Marius De Villiers waste collection services, such as:

Domestic waste collection (Round collected refuse);

Cleaning activities in the Inner City;

Bulk collection services and;

Dailies(wet waste),

will be provided as per usual during the following public holidays,namely, Freedom Day (April 27) and Worker’s Day (May 1).

All garden sites will remain open during this period. The Linbro Park and Ennerdale landfill sites will however be closed during this period.
