To change minds and bad habits towards littering
To get everyone to place rubbish into bins and bags so that Pikitup can do their job more efficiently.
And to celebrate World Environment Day also on June 05

• Newspaper advertising in all papers — e.g. Star, Citizen, Sowetan, Daily Sun and all local papers

Q: Who can participate or register for the cleanup?
A: All Joburg citizens including Pikitup Staff, CoJ Employees, businesses, Churches, groups and schools. (No age restrictions).
Q: What time am I expected on site and how long can I spend?
A: You can spend as little as 30 minutes to an hour between 09:00am and 12:00pm
