Media - Refuse Collection Schedule has Commenced

REFUSE COLLECTION SCHEDULE HAS COMMENCED

The illegal (unprotected) strike involving some Pikitup employees has ended and the roads have been cleared. Normal refuse collection has commenced.

Residents whose bins were not collected today are requested to hold back their bins; Pikitup will collect the waste from the 240 litre wheelie bin as well as additional refuse bags next week Monday.

Pikitup is studying the contents of the memorandum which was submitted by the employees. The memorandum strongly suggests that there has been a misunderstanding between the employees and management. This is being resolved to the satisfaction of all affected parties.
