What is Separation at Source? |
| Separation at Source is a recycling initiative that encourages residents and business to separate their recyclable waste into different receptacles depending on the category, for example, into green waste, paper, bottles/glass. The aim of separation at source is to divert waste from the rapidly filling up landfill sites. It also ensures that more waste is recycled as it limits the levels of contamination. The Waste Bill, passed in July 2009 will make Separation at Source law. | |
